Maar vooral, always ready to rock ’n roll!

Kristof; the documentary photographer…

The year is 2006, in the south of Libya on the border with Tchaad. During a trans-Saharan trip in a 2CV, we were held by Colonel Gaddafi’s troops for a week (long story) in the middle of knowhere. There I witnessed how trapped migrants had to cross the border back on top of a truck. Strictly forbidden to take photos, but I couldn’t resist. That was the moment when my childhood dream of becoming a photojournalist resurfaced and I decided to give my life a different direction.

I took part in an evening photography course and started as a secondary profession in 2011. Ambition and drive to become the best possible photographer for my clients led me to workshops in Italy, the Netherlands, Canada and Texas. Learning from the best in the business. Knowledge is more important than expensive photo material. At the end of 2018, I felt like a photographer for the first time. I was ready; ready to throw myself into photography every day. With Libya in mind, I adopt a documentary view of photography, which I use today during wedding reports, events and day in the life sessions…

Basecamp is Maldegem in East Flanders, but I have made reports in every Belgian province. I have experience abroad with about 10 reports for Dutch couples and more exotic destinations such as Spain, Italy and South Africa. But above all, always ready to rock ’n roll!

Kristof; the boudoir and portrait photographer…

I prefer to work with people who are not used to being in front of the camera. People who have the courage to experience something new, because ‘life begins at the end of your comfort zone’. That’s why the ‘boudoir experience’ should be on every woman’s bucket list. I make sure that you are comfortable before the shoot even starts and my ultimate goal is that you go home with a good dose of self-confidence. Proud of yourself that you dared to do this boudoir experience. That for once you didn’t feel like a mom, but a woman through and through! That after looking at the end result you look at yourself in a different way…
